The Synopsis

Why Are You Sick? Practical Tools For Wellness

Are you tired of being told it’s all in your head? And even though you feel awful, doctors are telling you there is nothing wrong with you? You are not alone! For nearly a decade, Reiki Master Francie Soito, saw similar patterns in her clients who struggled to find the source of their problems. Using her high-tech market research skills, Francie began to draw patterns between physical illnesses and the emotional and mental root causes behind them. Join Francie as she illustrates the mind-body connection like never before and learn about your energy body, chakras and most importantly, gain the practical tools on how to be well and whole again.

Step 1: Identify the point of impact

Where in your body are you experiencing pain or are you storing your stress? It will be the first thing that comes to mind. You might have more than one place pop up, just focus on the one that comes up first. If you have cancer, where did the first tumor originate? For example, if you have breast cancer the answer would be in your heart area, if it is sinuses it would be in your nose, if it’s back pain it would be lower, middle or upper back. If you have an all over body disorder like a blood disorder, inflammation, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, etc. start with the root chakra and work your way up.

Step 2: Pinpoint the source

Ask yourself what was going on in your life at the time the pain, stress first started or you received your diagnosis? What was going on in your life two years leading up to the first symptom? Take notes on the first things that come into your head. Examples to look out for are major life events like a death, job loss, divorce, car accident, relocation, break-up, etc. When you think about these events do you feel your body change physically? And if so, is it in the spot that you are having issues?

Step 3: Find the corresponding chakra

Match that part of your body from Step 1 with the Chakra Illustration Figure . Does the description of that chakra resonate with your feelings from Step 2 above?

Step 4: Jump to that chakra chapter

Step 5: Follow the steps to healing

Use the examples and the tools in the chakra chapters to help you be whole again.

The Review

This was a thought-provoking and insightful guide. The author did an amazing job of balancing out the personal stories that put her on the path of Reiki and the instructional moments that guided the reader toward the issues they are facing in life and the corresponding chakras they are associated with. The relatability and the emotional connection the author is able to make to the material in the book helped keep the reader engaged with the guide.

The way the author is able to connect spirituality and energy work to modern-day health concerns was truly thoughtful. As someone with multiple autoimmune diseases, it was interesting to see how the author was able to relate each chakra to various areas of the body and how the chakras connected to those areas as well. The way the author was able to relay the history of Reiki and energy work was so fascinating as well.

The Verdict

Memorable, captivating, and engaging, author Francie Soito’s “Why Are You Sick?: Practical Tools For Wellness” is a must-read nonfiction book on health and spirituality. The enlightening way the author is able to relay this guide to readers and the emotional weight of the impact this will have on readers with health struggles who are searching for new ways of confronting their health issues and connecting to a higher energy self in the process made this an amazing book to read. You by Pnei Hashem Review

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

An honest and open discussion of the esoteric teachings of the Torah as it relates to the depths of the human condition in author Pnei Hashem’s “You”.

The Synopsis

There is a wisdom awaiting you that is not supposed to be a secret. It is ancient, and it is available, but it is widely unknown. It has been hidden for too long, and it is time for it to be revealed.

Existence is not meaningless. Humanity is not irredeemable. The future is not bleak. The alienation and despair that lurk just beneath the surface of the modern psyche are not the inevitable human condition. They are the result of misguided ideologies that pervade our global culture and invade our every thought. Each of us – each and every one of us – is so much more than we imagine. We are here for a reason, and we are equipped with all of the capabilities that we require.

“You” is an introduction to the deepest depths of the human experience based on the esoteric teachings of the Torah. These concepts have been shrouded in the cloistered world of Chasidic mysticism for millennia, and the goal here is to present them in terms that will be accessible and resonant to the layperson. The ideas that “You” expounds will be useful and inspiring for people of all creeds, races, and backgrounds, for those who practice and believe as well as those who question and doubt.

As our society is descending, once again, into conflict, tribalism, and illiberalism, it will be a better world for all of us when each of us recognizes her/his infinite value.

The Review

This was a truly profound and engaging read. The heart of this book lies in the exploration of Jewish mysticism and the Torah as a whole. The author’s expertise and research were so well-defined in this book, exploring passages and discoveries about this religious text that few modern spiritual and mystic readers have taken the time to explore on their own. The imagery of these passages was powerful in their own right, as it helps to see the connections between the stories being told and the messages that they have within them.

What stuck out to me immediately was the way in which the author was able to write about this subject without taking a “preaching” or “conversion” approach to the topics. The way the author allows people of all backgrounds to explore this topic and draw their own conclusions from it was so inspiring to read, for although I am spiritual I am not really a believer in any one particular religion or faith. However, the concept of ego death and the realities of consciousness as a whole was so captivating to read about.

The Verdict

Thrilling, mesmerizing, and thought-provoking, author Pnei Hashem’s “You” is a must-read nonfiction spiritual read. The eye-opening discussions and combination of philosophical and spiritual themes in regard to the Torah and Jewish Mysticism were brilliant to behold, and diving into the history and culture of this particular faith was heartwarming to read about. About the Author

The author, who wishes to remain anonymous, is an award-winning writer in the secular world who was introduced to the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus as a young adult. After decades of study and frequent interaction with some of the most renowned Rabbis of the generation, the author has been encouraged to focus his clear and incisive writing style on the explication of the depths of Torah.Regarding the author’s anonymity, the hope is that this will enable the reader to focus exclusively on the message and not the messenger. The concept of bittul is central to the Chassidic tradition, yet it defies precise interpretation. Commonly translated as self-nullification, the idea is that one can express her/his greatest potential when s/he allows the infinite to flow through her/him without the interference of the ego. That said, each of us has been created with particular qualities and talents with which we are to fulfill our given task. Therefore, one must strive to make a positive impact on the world while simultaneously nullifying her/his desire for recognition or acclaim. The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that everyone has a responsibility to use the qualities with which s/he was divinely endowed to share the universal wisdom and inspiration of Torah with those who are within one’s sphere of influence: if you know aleph, teach aleph. It is the author’s hope that this book will help many others – of all backgrounds and affiliations – to see the beauty and elegance of every aspect of their existence, and to live a life of profound optimism, love, meaning, and purpose.

The Review

This was such an incredible and mind-opening read. Readers who have followed my reviews for a while know that I am not in particular a religious person whatsoever. However what you may not know about me is that I am interested in the paranormal, spirituality, and metaphysical cases in our world. Everything from ghosts and cryptids to the multiverse theory and Ultra-terrestrials from another universe altogether holds interest to me. So although the specific language of the author’s book may not be directly something one would think I’d be into, the concepts and thought-provoking words the author channeled for this book were truly awe-inspiring.

What really appealed to me was the author’s approach to more liberal-thinking ways in relation to the messages received from Metatron. Something I’ve never been able to get around for religion has been the very narrow views on sexuality and gender identity, and the author’s exploration of Metatron’s viewpoints is insightful and inspiring. The personal way the author connects with the words she channeled and the thoughtful topics of discussion that she throws into the book really speak to me, creating a nice balance between metaphysical studies and spirituality.

The Verdict

A mesmerizing, hauntingly beautiful, and thought-provoking read, author Devi Nina Bingham’s “Messages From Metatron” is a must-read book on spirituality and metaphysics in relation to spirituality overall. Engaging and entertaining all at once, the teachable way the book takes readers on a journey of discovery will captivate and inspire readers all at once, creating a truly unique reading experience. The Review

This was a powerful and moving work of philosophy and introspective work that blended nuggets of thought-provoking sentiments with artwork and photography that captured the essence and tone that the author was going for in this book. The imagery and tone always brought the reader to the present moment, taking away the worries of the past and future and instead focusing on moments as they were happening.

What really stood out was the philosophical wellbeing that the author employed in the reader’s minds and how the author’s messages of hope and fulfillment spoke to the reader in a personal way.
