The Review

The author does a good job here of striking a balance between psychology and Christian Science and beliefs. While many of you know I myself am not religious, I found the author’s candor and approach to be memorable and attainable from various angles and belief systems. While many Christians will feel a special connection to the author’s words, the nature of fear and how it impacts us all is felt in every chapter, and the author does a great job of exploring this from more than just her religious background.

This book did a wonderful job of implementing these calming techniques while tying it all into the real-world effect that COVID-19 has had on us all. The pandemic’s isolation and fear have amplified so many of our own personal fears that anxiety has never been more prevalent in our world. The author does a great job of not only acknowledging this but showcasing both personal, religious-based thinking with practical and helpful techniques that will help many dealing with their own anxieties.

Live Your Best Life by Julia A. Royston Review

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Author Julia A. Royston leads readers on a personal journey of self-reflection in order to showcase the way she has learned to be her best self in her short non-fiction and self-help style book, “Live Your Best Life”.

The Synopsis

What does Live Your Best Life really mean? To me, it means being the best me that I can be for me and not anyone else. It means living in my truth and not the truth of someone else. It means living the life that I was meant to live and being okay with it deep down inside myself and not based on what others think, believe or approve. It means a lot to me. It’s not always fun and sometimes it’s downright scary but it’s me and I’m okay with it. Why? I only have one life to live on this earth and this is it. You ready? Let’s go!

The Review

This was a truly unique and succinct read. The author does a great job of incorporating their own beliefs and faith into their self-help system that has helped them not only in life but in their business life as well, while also giving readers enough room to feel they can incorporate the things in their lives that they believe in, even if it is not the same as the author. That is a rare thing in non-fiction reads, as books are often curtailed to specific things like a certain faith or belief system, but the author takes that and flips it on its head early on in the read, giving readers the chance to customize their experience with the author’s system for their own lifestyles.

The author does a great job of exploring the basic building blocks of success both in life and in business and connecting the two together to form a perfect balance. From establishing an important support system to weather the harshest storms we will face in our lives to discovering our true purpose in life through our passions, dreams, and talents, the author does a great job of connecting readers with not only her message but themselves in the process.

The Review

Informative and engaging, the author delivers an inspiring and practical approach to personal finances and financial freedom. Exploring things like reducing a person’s spending each month and the definition of cash flow, to clearing one’s bad debt and the types of assets that one can utilize when building up wealth through investments, this book covers it all.

What stood out from this book from other self-help style financial books was how important the focus on doing the work yourself was. Speaking to anyone and whatever level of knowledge a person has about finances and whatever income level a person is at, this book focuses early on on the practice of having the right mindset when beginning the journey to gaining control of one’s financial state and then increasing its value. Aside from delving into the basics of financial independence, the author also reveals several methods of implementing wealth creation, making this an invaluable tool for readers.

The Verdict

A brilliant, informative, and easy-to-understand guide for personal finances and wealth creation, author Richard Gracia’s “The RICH Method” is a must-read non-fiction book on finances. Thoughtful in its approach and emphasizing hard work for the reader to implement the goals of wealth creation, this book makes itself invaluable as a tool for those interested in taking control of their financial future. The Review

This was a motivational read to be sure. The author does an excellent job of reaching out to readers on a personal level, showcasing a level of commitment to those reading his work that speaks to his extensive knowledge and personable approach to his writing. The book is short yet makes a major impact on those reading this work, examining the balance between action and thought in the pursuit of success.

What really struck me as interesting was the way the author was able to back up his sentiments and thoughtful wording with action. Rather than focusing solely on thinking about what we want to achieve in our lives, the author proposes deliberate actions to help manifest those desires physically in our world, showcasing how we can take control of our own destinies rather than relying on the universe to help us out all the time. It helps to showcase the balance of happiness and hard work that goes into any given profession and the journey to find professional success.

The Verdict

A quick, memorable and informative read, author Samuel Jeremy Lucas’s “Cross That Bridge” is a must-read, self-help book. The book is very thought-provoking and goal-oriented and puts the reader in charge of their own destiny. The author really does put the self in self-help, so if you haven’t yet be sure to grab your copy today!

It should be a day that feels and looks how you want it to.

The Review

What a profoundly simple yet moving and impactful read. The author expertly brings readers into the message of this book right away, leaning into the self-help genre enough to educate readers while remaining personable and relatable enough to feel like the author is speaking to you and not “at” you. 10 Simple questions drive this message home, asking the reader to examine not what we don’t have in our lives but what we do have and the gratitude and content that brings us.

What really makes this book unique however is the fact that it serves as both an educational tool for self-improvement and as a tool in general, with the majority of the book’s pages filled with journal entry pages for the reader to fill in themselves. With a memorable quote to draw the reader into each new day, the author encourages readers to practice the lessons they taught at the beginning of the book and utilizes these 10 questions each day to help the reader track and improve on their daily quest for meaning in their lives. It’s the kind of self-help book that so many others lack because it actually leaves room for readers to do the work after being encouraged by the author as the book draws onward.

The Verdict

A fantastic, expertly crafted, and highly educational and thoughtful read, author Andrew Eltes’s “Appreciation and Meaning Journal” is a must-read and must-use tool for self-improvement in our daily lives. A soul-searching and thought-provoking read, the balance of reading and working the author puts into the structure and tone of the book is felt throughout its entirety.
