Happy Launch Day Everyone!!

Hello there, this is Anthony Avina. I wanted to let you guys know that my book, I Was An Evil Teenager: Remastered, is now live and available for
purchase! As I’m posting this is it midnight on Friday, October 20th, and the book is available in both paperback and eBook formats. You can
get the book on iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Amazon, Smashwords, Createspace and more! You can find the links in the preorder section on the
left side of this blog.

I wanted to thank those who have shown an interest in my book thus far. It’s already garnered it’s first 5-star review, and it means the world to
me that you guys are responding to it. This book is the collection of my first novella series, featuring the novellas “I Was A Teenage Killer”,
“I Was A Teenage Zombie” and “I Was A Teenage Demon”. I have not only combined these novellas into a novel, but I have completely reworked the
original manuscripts, polishing the writing itself and adding some fun and more relevant plot twists that I think you guys will enjoy.

This story follows a beautiful young teenager named Lisa Etron. The small North Carolina town of Willow Springs sees Lisa as the perfect example
of high school success. She’s a cheerleader, an A+ student, and treats everyone with respect and kindness. After securing a date with her best
friend Dave, Lisa appears to be on top of the world. What Dave and the rest of the town fails to realize is that Lisa is hiding a dark secret. A
secret that is both terrifying and deadly, and threatens to consume the town in chaos once unleashed. Providing a new face for terror, the novel
features scares, chills and the ultimate fight between good and evil. Can evil wear a pretty face? Can love win over hate? Find out in I Was An
Evil Teenager: Remastered!

I hope you guys will enjoy this novel. It’s perfect for the Halloween season, and is a throwback to the young and inexperienced author I was
over seven years ago when I first published this series. For anyone with a blog or an interest in reading this book, I have free electronic copies
of the book available in .mobi, PDF and ePub formats. I can send you a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review, so send me an email to
authoranthonyavina@gmail.com and I’d love to work with you. Thanks for your support everyone, and look out for more giveaways and announcements
in the future!

Powered by Indie: Why I Love Being An Indie Author

It’s not easy doing things on your own. Yet as many have said before me and as many will say once I’m long gone, nothing in life worth doing is
easy. It’s these words that have kept me inspired to pursue a career as an author, and have kept me going all these years. Over time, my writing
has improved and has grown, as have my ideas and ability to connect with readers and writers alike. The sense of community, of creative vision
and of belonging have helped reinforce my belief in the written word, and that’s why in honor of Amazon’s month long celebration of indie writing,
I thought I’d talk about why I love being an indie author.

There’s a very simple reason why I love being an indie author: I love having creative control over my story. While I dream of being able to work
with a publisher someday, I love being able to decide how to develop my story. I like having a say in not just the story, but the direction I take
the marketing and the way my story is formatted. When you have a creative vision, you like to have a sense of control over your final product, and
with indie publishing you don’t have anyone to answer to in that regard.

Overall, I think I enjoy the deeper connection I feel with my readers as an indie author. I think indie authors have an added advantage of being
closer to their audience because they come to it as readers themselves, and they are more in touch with what the average reader is looking for.
I know my writing has improved greatly as a result of connecting with readers over the years, and that’s why I wouldn’t trade being an indie
author for anything. Like I said, I hope to be able to work with a fantastic publishing company someday, and I actually have an opportunity to
work with a great publisher in the coming year, which I’m looking forward to. However my career began in indie publishing, and I love the
freedom that comes from having control and passion at your fingertips. That is why I love being an indie author, and I hope you aspiring authors
out there will consider taking a shot on yourself and self-publish your book.

You fellow authors out there: why do you love being an indie author? And all you readers out there, who are some of your favorite indie authors?

The Ghost of Normandy Road (Haunted Minds Vol 1) by John Hennessy Review:

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the author and Booklover Catlady Publicity in return for a fair and honest review.
Many thanks!

Going into my second reading of a John Hennessy book, I was expecting quite the shocking ending and a scare or two, but never did I
imagine the horror that would await me in his ninth overall book, The Ghost of Normandy Road. The first in the Haunted Minds series,
this short story packed quite a punch, delivering a unique and ambitious tale told with a mature voice but through the eyes of a child.

The story follows a young boy, (10-year old Danny), who must navigate through a mystery involving three legends that have no direct
correlation, but all seem to be coming to light all around him at once. Once he begins to brave the myth and chooses to venture forth into
the house on Normandy Road, his life will never be the same, as horrors he could never have thought possible begin to seep into his life.

What I really loved about this story was the setting and tone of the story. It almost seemed like a modern take on a Victorian era setting,
yet was told with a modern voice. While there were a few issues with the formatting that translated to the digital copy, I was able to see
in this story the beautiful way in which John Hennessy can subtly convey true and terrifying horror. The imagery used in this story was
brilliant, and had goosebumps sent down my arms and shivers up my spine.

Overall, this is John Hennessy’s best work to date. I enjoyed the story and loved the surprise twist at the end. You can’t help but become
invested in the characters and their stories, and as this is the first in a series, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment
that is sure to come our way. I would give The Ghost of Normandy Road a 4/5 stars, and highly recommend you guys pick up your copy today!
