Interview with Author Richard Harland

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself. How did you get into writing?

I grew up in England – Yorkshire, Devon, London, but most of all in Suffolk, which is farming country about 80 miles from London. Also the arlocationea of rural scenes painted by John Constable – and I used to live in a very pretty small town called Hadleigh. Not that I cared so much about the prettiness then – I wanted to escape to big city excitement! But a lot of the background feel to the Home Ground of Ferren’s tribe in FERREN AND THE ANGEL comes from memories of Hadleigh and the countryside around.

Afterwards, I was 3 years in Cambridge, then migrated to Australia – an accidental migration, because I never intended to stay. But then I fell in love with the place and the lifestyle. I’ve lived always around the Sydney area – inner city, Newcastle, and now the Illawarra. Wollongong manages to combine having the biggest steelworks in the Southern Hemisphere with having a beautiful green escarpment and a whole string of picture-perfect beaches.

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to create stories. I was always imagining scenarios and events for my own enjoyment and for friends playing games when I was a kid. But I never particularly thought of being a writer, until I started getting top marks for creative English composition – only because I discovered how to use a Thesaurus and throw around impressive-sounding words. Bad start! And worse, when I won a big prize for a short story, which was only impressive because I’d read some literary stuff more advanced than other kids my age, so I could pretend to use symbols and stream of consciousness and … you get the idea! I was a fake and a poseur, and all the natural story-telling instinct I started off with got lost in the process!

Anyway, I paid the price with 25 years of writer’s block. Now I truly did want to become a writer – and I couldn’t write. Or, more accurately, I couldn’t finish anything I started to write. And I started plenty, short stories, poems, novels – no use, I bogged down on every single one.

It took me a long, long time to rediscover that old storytelling instinct, but I did in the end. I got back to what I did well in the first place, which wasn’t fancy words and techniques, but making up live-in worlds and intriguing characters and stories that read like a movie.

2) What inspired you to write your book?

This will sound corny, but it really began with a dream. If you look at the opening half-dozen pages of FERREN AND THE ANGEL, that’s like a transcript of the dream. I was Ferren peeking out at terrible sounds and lights in the night sky, understanding that it was a war going on between the armies of Heaven and the armies of Earth. And I was Ferren seeing the bright light of an angel come hurtling down towards me, shot out of the sky and crashing close by. I’ve always been lucky with my dreams!

3) What theme or message do you hope readers will take away from your book?

Probably the idea that the downtrodden can rise up, exploitation can be defeated. I don’t really think in terms of themes or messages – if they’re there, they come out of the characters.

Take a Food Journey Around the World!

4) What drew you into this particular genre?

If you call my genre Fantasy, then I guess I’ve always enjoyed imagining otherworlds. I love the challenge of creating a world far removed from the reader’s – and my own – experience, and then turning it into solid experience that makes you feel as if you’re actually living through the events right there. I think you’ll agree that the Ferren world is very way out – I hope you’ll agree that it still seems real when you read it!

But although I’ve always been drawn to Fantasy, I’ve also wanted to create fantasy worlds that aren’t like other fantasy worlds. I truly believe fantasy OUGHT to keep opening up new doorways, new imaginative possibilities, and I get disappointed when it falls into formula and stereotype. FERREN AND THE ANGEL is fantasy, OK, but when you get on to describing its sub-genre, then it becomes difficult. Easy to say it’s not traditional epic fantasy or swords and sorcery or medieval fantasy … but I wouldn’t know how to say exactly what it is!

5) If you could sit down with any character in your book, what would you ask them and why?

I guess I’d love to sit down with my second most important character, Miriael, and ask her about her life as an angel! What was she taught by the Cherubim in the schoolrooms on the Third Altitude, how does it feel to share a perfect communion of touching spirit to spirit with every other angel? And a million suchlike questions – there’d be so much to ask!

But for just sitting down with – and not particularly asking any questions – I’d go for my third character, Zonda. She may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’d really enjoy meeting her.

Watermelon

6) What social media site has been the most helpful in developing your readership?

Maybe too early to give a proper answer … I’ll have a better answer in 6 months time! But I have enjoyed working through NetGalley, which is a site for making Advance Reading Copies available to reader-reviewers. I think it’s a great system! (And I don’t say that because all of my NetGalley reviews to date have been five-star … though it helps!)

7) What advice would you give to aspiring or just starting authors out there?

I’d say, enjoy the writing and the writing process, because that’s a pleasure no one can ever take away from you. Success goes up and goes down, your next book can’t always be more popular than your last. But to have a story unfold and start telling itself and zoom towards its climax – whoo-ee! Best feeling in the world!

I guess my 25 years of writer’s block gives me more reason to enjoy it than most. I’m on a winner just being able to finish a book at all!

8) What does the future hold in store for you? Any new books/projects on the horizon?

First business is completing the Ferren trilogy. After FERREN AND THE ANGEL comes FERREN AND THE DOOMSDAY MISSION, then FERREN AND THE INVADERS OF HEAVEN. The story began big and keeps getting bigger! I’m already pre-filming those next 2 books in my mind, and I absolutely believe the whole trilogy will be the most satisfying – and mind-boggling – thing of all. INVADERS OF HEAVEN involves what the title says, an actual invasion of Heaven. Can’t reveal who the ‘Invaders’ are, but it’s no spoiler to reveal that the foot-soldiers of the invasion will be the very ugly, soulless Hypers who’ve been the backbone of the Humen (sic) army ever since Book One.

About the Author

I’m the author who nearly wasn’t – it took me 25 years to beat writer’s block. In those 25 years, I migrated from England to Australia, became a singer/songwriter, a poet and then a university lecturer. But all I truly wanted to do was write speculative fiction.

Finally I finished my first novel, the comic macabre, The Vicar of Morning Vyle. With its prequel, The Black Crusade, it grew into a cult. When mainstream Australian publisher Pan Macmillan contracted my next novel, I resigned my lectureship, and I’ve been a full-time author ever since.

I live south of Sydney between green escarpment and golden beaches, with partner Aileen and Yogi the labrador. Writing, writing, writing … I have those 25 missing years to make up for!

My big international success has been with my YA steampunk novels, Worldshaker, Liberator and Song of the Slums. The French Le Worldshaker picked up the Prix Tam-tam du Livre Jeunesse. In the US, Worldshaker and Liberator were published by Simon & Schuster.

Character Interview: Biyum of Author Andrew Mowere’s “Adventus”

Hello there everyone. I have the honor today of sharing with you an exclusive and fun character interview with one of the characters from an upcoming dark fantasy novel titled “Adventus” by author Andrew Mowere. I will be reviewing this book later in the year, but with the book now available for preorder, I thought it’d be fun to share this exclusive character interview with you guys. Enjoy this one on one conversation with the character Biyum.

*There is a frozen tundra among which the wind complains. Darkness spreads, unhindered by what weak moonlight there is that night. However, there is a fire nearby. A large figure sits by it. They turn to look with bright yellow eyes, gripping at a giant bow*

Biyum: Who…what are you?

Mike: Hello. I’m a human.

Biyum: I’ve never seen anything like you before. *glances around* where am I? I was about to leave the world.

Mike: Oh. I heard about this. Your world is sinking, right?

Biyum: Correct. When we thought all was lost, this portal opened. The scouts, they reported seeing creatures like you in the place beyond.

Mike: Yeah, that’s Grimea. How are you?

Biyum: Tired, determined. What question is this? It does not matter how I am.

Mike: No?

Biyum: *picks at one of his tusks* No. What matters is only what I must do.

Mike: Huh. Pretty hardcore. So what is it that you have to do?

Biyum: I am to follow my leaders. There is a…meeting.

Mike: You don’t sound excited.

Biyum: I am not. I am a ranger. What do I know of meetings? But if these are the orders of the war chief, then so be it.

Mike: This place is weird. I don’t see a lot of trees. No houses.

Biyum: We move often. Orcs learn to set camps where there is food. We and our livestock travel. Doing this means that the grasses are not exhausted by us.

Mike: You sound like you know a lot about it.

Biyum: *snorts* Knowledge and understanding are what the world is about. The stupid die.

Mike: That’s a rational way to think. I like your tattoo. The one on your wrist.

Biyum: …thank you, but it there for a purpose.

Mike: Really? What’s that?

Biyum: And why should I tell you?

Mike: Erm, does it help if I’m like, really curious?

Biyum: Certainly not. Human.

Mike: Yeah?

Biyum: This place is not real. I could not have been transported instantaneously, and this land is unlike ours. It looks similar and yet does not sink. We are in a dream, or something like it.

Mike: I guess… that’s pretty smart of you to notice.

Biyum: Simply observant. The point is that if this is a dream, then you might be but a figment of my imagination. Or perhaps I am one of yours…

Mike: *gulps* Or somebody else’s?

Biyum: Maybe. No matter. I should leave soon.

Mike: Wait, one more question. Why did you decide to become a ranger?

Biyum: Here, orcs can choose to join a festival when they are younglings. Our skills are tested, and an appropriate occupation is found for them. I joined because I wished to be more than I was.

Mike: More than a youngling?

Biyum: Indeed. More than a youngling, more than an orc. A true, honorable addition to this world. It is honor that leads to fame, and to self-respect. These are the things that lead to happiness: Outer bliss and the inner. It is only natural that we should pursue this road. Is this answer to your liking?

Mike: I think so, I guess. Maybe.

Biyum: Then I bid you farewell, figment. *steps away from the fire*

Mike: I have a name, you know!

Series Blurb:

Lino just wanted peace. All he got was war.

In the year After Colony 2055 there was the Great War. SenseNet government scientists harnessed their knowledge of nuclear weapons and created a new form of energy. This kedek energy was a natural found occurrence that existed in pools far inside the planet. Harnessing this energy into weapons called kedek bombs, scientists warned these weapons were unsafe and should never be used.

The draconian Atlantea Federation conquered more than half of the world’s territories. A group of islands and nation states formed the Pacific Territories and in a single brave act retaliated in a battle known as the Blood Red Incident. The Atlantea Federation responded with wrath releasing the kedek-based Dionysis Effect nuclear bomb stolen from the SenseNet. The untested weapon’s radioactive fallout created Codesswhich manifested as psychic powers.

Pacific Territories’ society was segregated into citizens and non-citizens. Only citizens could reside in the pristine City. Non-citizens were left with poverty and strife in the Zone where the bomb had gone off, or in the Echelons with the Red Light District, drugs, and crime.

A group of hackers rose up to combat government oppression and injustice by the Zone Police. Enforcement squads rounded up psychics nightly taking them to work camps in the toxic kedek mines. The Terror Hack used guerrilla warfare to fight the Elite government. The Packrats, a cyber terrorist organization vowed to regain control and free society through cyber revolution. Run by the elite hacker Faid Callen, he created the Packrat Sprawl and set up the Runners, Wastes, Acolytes, Hosts, Prophets and Mobile Command. Each faction possessed deadly skills and laws in the Packrat Code that ruled their actions. Civil war ripped at the heart of society.

The son of the Viceroy, Lino Dejarre had psychic power. All he wanted was peace. He joined the Psi Faction as a clandestine psychic operative and was tasked to capture Faid Callen and quell the violence. When the Atlantea Federation attacked the City, Lino found himself once more answering the royal edict and forced to become Sub Viceroy and rule as war raged around him.

Separated at age nine and banished from the royal family, Riuho Dejarre’s hatred for Lino grew as he tried to scrape out a life in the slum level Echelons while Lino lived in the pristine City. Stripped of his citizenship, Riuho vowed he would get revenge and did everything in his power to thwart Lino’s every move. From his first encounter with the Atlantea Federation, Riuho found his place and the resources to get what he desired.

The Atlantea Federation attacked brutally on the ground and also threatened the Pacific Territories’ space colonies. Lino and his Psi Faction team were roped into global diplomacy, inter-colony politics, covert missions, battleships, and space battles where they encounter the Atlantea Federation head on. When Riuho once more enters the fray, the high stakes game threatens to destroy everything for which Lino has worked.

Intrigue, psychic powers, clandestine operations, treaties, politics and a hacker revolution. From space battles, to kidnappings and assassinations, and battleships off the coast, grydscaenis filled with in depth characters and richly detailed storylines that peak your interest and keep you coming back for more.

Excerpt

“Not here. Hide the data till we are off the street. This way,” Toapfyl hurriedly motioned to the data messenger in the blue military coat, dark cargo pants and combat boots who followed him off the sidewalk and down another alley. He was wearing the typical garb for a data messenger which made Toapfyl comfortable when he met the stranger in the alley leaning against the wall, easily identifiable.

Toapfyl, a Level 3 hacker, was wearing maroon jeans and a zippered black hoodie pulled over his ebony half shaved head, exposing a slap of dirty brown dreadlocks gathered in a ponytail at his forehead hiding his right eye.

A prostitute wearing a pink miniskirt and fishnet stockings kissed a businessman in a black suit under a sickly yellow streetlight. Toapfyl and the data messenger were once again shrouded in shadow by the derelict buildings as they passed leaving the two to their pleasure.

Toapfyl pushed in a dilapidated door at the end of the alley, grime from the street creating a dusty haze in the air leaving a putrid stink. They entered a staircase. There was no light as they descended. Toapfyl sparked up his aegis to his hand, the manifestation of his psychic power, and lit a path to the basement.

He pushed in the door onto a dimly lit room and revealed Jester, the leader of the Jester hacker guild sitting in a rickety folding chair in the center of the empty room smoking a cigarette from a long black holder. A soft haze filtered over him from a light fixture dangling precariously from ceiling wires, the glass cover filled with dead moths that had happened their way inside and lived out their final days circling the artificial sun. The wan flickering light cast shadows that danced at the corners, the bulb swinging back and forth, moved by the basement door opening.

Legs crossed, Jester was wearing black patent leather platform boots, a shiny mahogany lace skirt, skintight black denim jeans, and a slick dark vinyl blouse with embroidered crimson roses, He sported an elaborate olive short coat with a high collar and dark cuffs and epaulets. A monocle optical sensor over his right eye, he was wearing a green top hat with a scarlet rose perched at the brim. His pink straight, shoulder length hair shined in the light.

He made an irritated gesture with his hand. “Don’t keep me waiting. Where is it?” Jester took a long drag from the cigarette and blew out a puff of smoke. He waved as Toapfyl closed the door.

“Not until I get paid.” The shocked data messenger prompted pulling out a red etched credit sized data card shaking it.

“Do the needful,” ordered Jester raising an eyebrow. He turned his back to them as he continued to smoke his cigarette taking a long drag.

Toapfyl pulled a platinum credit card out of his back pocket. The data messenger pulled his. They locked the two cards at the long end, pins embedded in the technology. Toapfyl typed out the amount of 55,000 credits on the virtual keyboard appearing on the face of his card. The cards chimed signaling the encryption key matched and the credits transferred from Toapfyl’s account.

The data messenger released his card and ran it through a handheld confirming the amount. He nodded stashing the handheld in his chest pocket.

“Done,” responded Toapfyl.

Jester turned back around not witnessing the exchange purposefully and stuck out his hand with his black lacquered fingernails in the knitted fingerless gloves. The stitching was coming apart at the seams on the thumb and index finger, the gloves covered in little white pills. Where everything about Jester’s appearance was immaculate, the gloves gave away an underlying confusion or sloppy disregard for his perfect veneer.

Jester was one of the hacker guild leaders who almost never showed his face in public. It was well known that Jester did not make meetings with data messengers or low level hackers, like a Level 3. He couldn’t be bothered with them. The fact that the data messenger insisted, and that Toapfyl made it happen, kept the data messenger on guard. He placed the red card in Jester’s palm and turned to leave.

Toapfyl jerked raising a gun to the data messenger’s temple. He touched skin. “No one leaves until the data is confirmed.”

Rom, the teenage Level 9 hacker, emerged from the shadows behind Jester. Eyebrow raised, he was annoyed with Toapfyl. Rom pulled a handheld out of his tan trench coat as he came into the dim light. His dull blonde unkempt hair gleamed with a blue streak at the front. He took the data card from Jester and swiped it in the port on the handheld reading the file as the system ran the security check. He typed on the deck triggering an encryption key prompt as the handheld’s computerized female voice spoke the request.

“The data is encrypted? Why didn’t you mention that?” questioned Toapfyl suspicious. He pushed the gun barrel closer taking a step in and made the data messenger move his head back.

“No problem,” interrupted Rom. “Most data messengers are Packrat Runners smuggling data from the City into the Echelons. It should take a Packrat decrypt key. I have access to the Packrats’ archive of one-time, pre-shared obscure keys. What I need for this, right?”

“That is why I wanted Jester at the meet. Toapfyl, all data messengers use encryption. If you don’t know that, you are an idiot. No self-respecting hacker attached to Jester would even ask the question you did just now. Only a Level 9 can penetrate. Jester would know a Level 9. Rom is one of the best in the business,” the data messenger revealed his disgust with Toapfyl and yanked the gun out of his hand pointing it back at the hacker.

Toapfyl blanched confused how he had been disarmed and lowered his eyebrows at the disrespect. Rom shot him an angry glare silencing him.

Jester smirked giving Rom permission to engage and waved the data messenger off. The messenger lowered the gun handing it back to Toapfyl.

Toapfyl opened the basement door and motioned the data messenger out accompanying him up the stairs leaving Jester in the room with Rom.

And now here is a fun Interview with Rom one of the main hacker characters from grydscan: dark by Natsuya Uesugi

Tell me a little about name. Is that your real name?

My name is Rom, only Rom. If I have a real name I don’t know it. The government wiped my memory it is hard for me to remember stuff.

Are you a citizen or do you have a cit card?

No, I live in the Echelons. I have no money, there is no way that I am a citizen.

Where do you live?

I live in an abandoned subway near the Red Light District in the Echelons. It is my squat. It is safe from the elements and it is shielded from the nuclear fallout. I have a sleeping rig and a lantern and some rations still left over. Reminds me I hope I have enough money to buy water free of radiation, I am almost out.

What is your favorite food?

You can’t be picky when you are dumpster diving. There is a dumpster behind the eatery Tram and one behind a noodle restaurant that always has good haul. They put out trash after lunch and dinner and I wait around for the good pickings. Saturday evening is always a treat.

Do you have a job?
Well, not really. I do hacking sometimes for the Packrats and I am trying to officially become a Runner which means I deliver messages and data throughout the Echelons. I am not a full Runner yet as I still have a lot to learn but I am getting there.

What got you living on the streets if I may ask?
I was arrested by the government for hacking into the Parliament and they erased my memory and threw me out on the streets. It is hard for me to even remember my name some days.

Isn’t living on the streets hard?

I would say living on the streets is hard most days but you get used to it. I have been out here over 9 months, it is fine. A little cold at night but it works for me.

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Oh, don’t make me blush. There is this trans girl I like but I don’t think she would even talk to me again if I told her I liked her. For now we stay friends. She is also homeless. I might get the courage up to ask her out one day. I would like to bring her to the Packrat Sprawl to get her off the streets but we will see.

What is that device you have with you?

This handheld is a piece of crap, well actually it is state of the art hidden in a crap package. It can hack, compile, do just about anything. I have had it a while now. I keep it safe so no one steals it. Don’t want to get into it too much.

What do you think of the government?

Down with the Elite government. Hackers Unite. Hack Till Your Dead!

How about the Zone Police?

Rounding up psychics and delinquents after curfew and sending them to die from hard labour in the kedek mines. I make sure I don’t get caught on the streets after curfew. The Zone Police are insane.

What did you do yesterday?

Dumpster diving, panhandling, hacked a cash register, wandered around the Red Light District, got some free electrolytes at the Office of Affairs, went to the Hack Tech and Ware nightclub and surfed the gridscan, downloaded a new script that steals cash from a hacked account – just need to find a machine and some sucker to infect now.

Sounds like you enjoy hacking. Do you find it fun/difficult/exciting?

It is what I do. It is fun enough. I just need a rig and I hope the Packrats will let me use their machines.

Do you have any friends?

I have a host friend who works out front of The Hole X-rated magazine shop in the Red Light District. He is gay and picks up Johns nightly to pay his way. Keeps him busy and he makes a pretty good haul. He is one of those pretty boys. I could never be a host. And my other firned that trans girl I was talking about. Her name is IIn. Other than that I keep to myself.

What about family?

Maybe, I don’t remember. I have flashbacks of this girl Elena but I forget my relationship to her. She may be my younger sister but I don’t know. I had another sister who was older than me. She stayed with me squatting in the Echelons but I couldn’t afford her iodine pills to combat the radiation and she got radiation sickness and died recently. That was my fault. There is no way I can make up for that. I stay on the streets as part of my punishment for failing her.

Tell me something no one knows about you?

I am gay and think that the hacker Jester, leader of the Jester Hacker Guild is hot. One day. I can dream.

The Writers Corner Episode 27: Interview with Javier Velazquez

The laws of reality are about to be rewritten citizens! This is author Anthony Avina, and today we are going to be sitting down and having
a discussion with one of my own creations. Fresh from the dramatic contemporary romance novel VOID, Javier Velazquez is going to discuss
the events of the book, his backstory, his current plans and his future plans.

WARNING: This interview will contain spoilers from VOID by Anthony Avina. If you haven’t yet, please go download the eBook version on
Amazon Kindle or get the paperback version on Amazon.com, Createspace or other paperback retailers. Once you’ve read the book, come back here
and read this and other interviews with the characters of VOID! OK, now here we go.

A (Anthony Avina): Hey there Javier. Thank you for taking the time to talk with myself, the readers of this blog, and the audience for
The Writers Corner Podcast and the Avina Vlogs YouTube channel!

JV (Javier Velazquez): No problem Anthony. Thank you for having me, and for creating me for that matter. So weird to be talking with the man
behind my existence here.

A: I cannot imagine. Quite the meaning of life kind of thing for you I guess.

JV: Yeah, kind of surreal.

A: Well first things first. For those in the audience and the readers who don’t know you or your backstory, give us a glimpse at who exactly
is Javier Velazquez.

JV: Well, I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am in my late twenties, and work as a writer. I kind of lost myself for a bit after the loss of my
longtime girlfriend, Elaine. It wasn’t until my best friends in this whole world, Pam, Jasper, Julian, Brianne and Michelle, came and gave
me a sort of “intervention” that I was able to regain a sense of myself and start living again. Now I’ve found a new romance, I have a new
little Yorkie named Sammy, and I have some great plans for the future.

A: Oh my gosh, I have a Yorkie named Sammy too. How weird is that?

JV: Not all that weird actually. You did create my life you know.

A: Of course, duh. Anyways, tell us a bit about what you experienced throughout VOID and how it has impacted your life.

JV: Well a few big things happened that I was involved in. My good friend Jasper decided to come out to his parents, who are super religious.
Not just religious, but old testament style religious. They abhor many things that seem normal and natural to you and I, but they especially
consider the LGBT community to be sinners, which doesn’t sit well with us. I went with him to tell them the news, and helped him after they
rejected him. Yet I’m happy to report that his mother has since apologized, left her husband and is repairing her relationship him.

Then there was Michelle. Her boyfriend was a seriously abusive man, and after she finally left him to protect her unborn child, he attacked
her, and both Jasper and myself fought him. She landed in the hospital, he landed in jail, and Jasper and I came out of the fight with some
nasty scars, but thankfully Michelle is alive, the baby is healthy and the pregnancy is on track, and she is now living with Jasper close
to my house.

The big thing that happened for me personally though was I found love. I struggled for so long to let go of the memory of Elaine and move
on with my life. Then one night, we all went out for a night of dancing at this jazz club, and Pamela and I danced together. She’s my best
friend, and when we were dancing, the emotions began to fly, and sparks just flew. After connecting and then disconnecting after I started
to struggle again with Elaine’s death, I had a revelation about things after the fight with Michelle’s ex, and I knew that I couldn’t keep
living in the past. I had found a note from Elaine that she wrote in the event that something happened to her, and after reading it, I knew
it was time to move on, so I went and found Pam, and professed my love for her. We’ve been together ever since. It hasn’t been a happily ever
after scenario. I still struggle with depression, and we have our spats like any other couple, but I love her so much, and can’t imagine my
life without her.

A: Wow, I’m so glad for you Javier. You are a big piece of the puzzle that is your friendship with the group. Why do you think you are the
one many of your friends go to when they are in need of help, advice, or a shoulder to cry on?

JV: I’m not sure. I think it may be because I’m just a good listener overall. I don’t like to judge others, and I’m a big believer of being
yourself and accepting others no matter what their differences. We’re all equal here, and what bothers me more than anything is when someone
tries to impose their beliefs on others or judge someone who doesn’t believe in what they believe. So when my friends are in need of advice
or just want to vent, I sit there and listen, and if I have any helpful tips I’ll tell them, but overall I just listen and give them my
friendship, my love and my hope. We’re all in this together, you know?

A: Exactly how I feel. I think I definitely based a lot of you and your personality on myself. I’m glad you could speak with us today. What
does the future have in store for you and your friends?

JV: Well, as a group we all are starting an entertainment company. We’re going to combine our passions and love and form a company that’s
built for the fans, by the fans. Other than that, Jasper, Brianne and I are working on a comic book project together, and Pamela and I are
working on a photo book about the city of Los Angeles. Personally, Pamela and I are living together, with our little Yorkie keeping us busy.
Other than that, the future is in your hands I guess.

A: I guess it is. Well thank you for stopping by today Javier. I got to say speaking with one of my characters is kind of refreshing.

JV: Same here Anthony. I look forward to living the life you set out for me in the book, and hope there are more adventures ahead for us.

A: I hope so too Javier. I look forward to working on your story again in the future.
