Hey guys, here’s the latest in Nintendo News.
1) A new mode made it’s way to NES Remix 2, based on the 1990 Nintendo World Championship. Launched exclusively for the Wii U on the Nintendo eShop, the championship mode has players trying to earn as many points as they can across three games. Those games include Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, and Dr Mario.
2) On June 6th, Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to pick up Tomodachi Life, where you can create an entire world with your Mii and all the Miis that belong to friends, family, and even celebrities.
3) Fans will be able to visit a “dazzling place they never knew” on their 3DS as Disney Magical Kingdom hits store shelves. Featuring over 60-characters and five worlds based on films like Cinderella and Aladdin, fans who bring their 3DS or 2DS systems to the Nintendo Zone between April 18th-August 7th will be able to download over 1000 items, mostly based on the film Pinnochio.
4) On the Nintendo 3DS, fans can now purchase Mario Kart 7, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Mario 3D Land, Animal Crossing, and Super Mario Bros 2 will be available $29.99.
5) Nintendo has released a new design of the Nintendo Wii Plus controller, making it in the style of Princess Peach.
6) Mario Golf: World Tour launches May 2nd, and features locations from around the world, and allows players to keep track of their score and progress, and to check the leaderboard among their friends and worldwide.
7) Nintendo has revealed plans for E3 2014, announcing two new Super Smash Bros games, a Super Smash Bros tournament at the Nokia Theater in LA, a digital presentation, and demos of Super Smash Bros at participating Best Buy stores.
8) Mario Kart 8 will release on May 30th, and Nintendo released details on a $329.99 Wii U bundle, a promotion for Wii U users to download one free game, which can include Pikmin 3, Super Mario Bros Wii U, and Wii Party U so long as they register their game with Club Nintendo by July 31st, and with Mario Kart TV, players with a google account can upload their gameplay videos directly to YouTube, as well as the Miiverse.
9) Besides Mario Golf, Kirby: Triple Deluxe will release on May 2nd, and will see Kirby working to save rival King Dedede by inhaling enemies, copying their powers, traveling between worlds and going from the background to the foreground in this 3D side scroller.
